Shiny Motel

Great location. Bed was extremely comfortable and the water pressure is GREAT. Nice and clean and the owner we spoke with is very nice and told us a lot about the area. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy local place.

Nice, quiet, little place, Jackie was absolutely wonderful and we talked quite a bit during my stay. Seriously so kind and understanding, and seemed genuinely curious to our plans, had a few suggestions, and was just overall really great. They're remodeling some of the rooms, and I'd be so happy to see how the new rooms come out if I get the chance to stay here again.

I got back from a 3 week trip across the country in an suv a few days ago. I had an appointment in Hoquiam, which is a beautiful little town, and decided to stay in a motel to get some better rest after driving all those days in a row. I chose the Shiny Motel and I'm glad that I did. I will stay there again the next time I return to the area. I arrived later in the evening in heavy rain, but the proprietor was there to greet me and helped me to my room. She was so kind, and when I checked out we had a talk that meant a lot to me, that I will cherish. As far as the room goes the windows open if you like, the heat took a bit to turn on but was very toasty (I even turned it down after a while). There was a little coffeepot, fridge, microwave, tv. They had some soap in the shower if you needed. The tables next to the bed had charging connections, which I found very helpful. The bed was more hard than plush, but I got a great night of sleep on it. Everything was clean and the parking lot has a stunning view of the forest. It felt cozy and safe. My only issue really was struggling with using the key card fob on the door, but I'm sure it was user error more than anything. Thank you for a lovely stay at your motel, I hope that you have many happy years there, and that everyone who comes to stay feels just a bit better after visiting, like I got to experience.

This was my first time staying at a motel and it was wonderful in every way. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The staff were incredibly kind, polite, and helpful. I felt very welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it

Wonderful service, clean rooms and stellar environment. Even though we were delayed and arrived at the tail end of their service hours we immediately felt welcomed. They made sure we felt safe and taken care of, asking after our travels and making sure we knew where we were going in the morning. They still remembered our names after check out and were just as friendly in the morning as they were in the evening.

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Olympic National Park, and it was an excellent experience. The price was great, and the location couldn’t be better. The room looked very nice, recently remodeled, and everything was clean and comfortable. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming she even gave us helpful recommendations for visiting the park. I also loved the thoughtful touch of a bottle of water in the room, something I haven’t seen in most places in the U.S. Before we left, she told us to stop by whenever we pass through just to say hi, such genuinely nice people. Overall, a wonderful stay with great value, a perfect location, and warm hospitality. Highly recommend!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A Wonderful Stay! I had such a great experience at The Shiny Motel! From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel so welcome – they were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and well taken care of, and you could tell they truly care about their guests’ comfort. They even took the time to recommend some great local places to eat and explore, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience and will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and welcoming place to stay!
